Love to hear that. The Marketplace is one of the first stops that prospective students and parents take after a long car ride up here, it’s a good first impression!

I might be mistaken with how the UC worked but the way I understood was to move funds from the uc fee the UC board would have to approve, so as this transition to state side takes place will we have a similar mechanism or will stateside have full jurisdiction to follow the programing?

I would like to share a concern that was brought to the last Residence Hall Association general meeting. A resident shared they were overcharged for an item at the marketplace. It was 100+ points above the listed price. They were able to get it sorted out, but this is a current concern for those with meal plans. I would also like to know how would the OhSnap J-point donation program be impacted in the next academic year since the new system would be meal swipes? Will a similar program emerge? Thank you.

We’ll go ahead and begin the next presentation at 4:30 pm :)

Thanks for the question, Marissa. Mistakes can happen, and we're glad and quick to fix them when they do. We'll be working on how to sustain a program like the J point donation fund for food insecurity. One main benefit of the new All Access plans you'll soon see is that the plans include unlimited dining per meal, and with a 3 meal per day, 7 days per week, it will eliminate running out of points as students face currently. That's going to make a lot of families and students happy to not have to worry about running out of points or access to meals.

does a temporary removal of the requirement for signatures, like last year, have to be reflected in the bylaws?
_giovanni guerrero
02:49:03
or is that election committee jurisdiction
Casey Park
02:49:41

Casey Park
02:52:15
To Gio, a temporary removal would take a vote of the Board as well.
_giovanni guerrero
02:56:21
ah okay, well there's a suggestion for this virtual setting if that comes out of the bylaws committee as well :P
